Five Mobile Racers Worth Keeping Installed

There are hundreds of racing games on your phone's store, and most of them feel the same after five minutes. These are the ones that survived the delete-everything purge on my test phone.

Skyline Rush tops the list for sheer feel. The sense of speed is the best I've found on mobile, and the drifting is satisfying enough that I kept replaying stages just to nail a cleaner line.

If you want something with a bit more going on between races, Pixel Pit Crew is the odd pick. It's a management sim rather than a driving game, but it scratches the same itch in a completely different way.

My one tip for any mobile racer: spend five minutes in the settings before you judge it. Switching between tilt and touch steering has saved more than one game for me that I was about to write off.
