Ember Reckoning

Ember Reckoning is the kind of RPG you don't expect to find on a phone. The writing is genuinely good, the party members have arcs that go somewhere, and the turn-based combat rewards you for thinking a few moves ahead instead of mashing attack.

The touch controls are clean. You drag to target, tap to confirm, and the UI stays out of the way during longer fights. I appreciated that the game respects your time with generous auto-save and quick battle options for the easier encounters.

My only gripe is the early pacing, which drags a little before the main conflict kicks off. Push past the first two hours and it opens up into something really worth your attention.
